Kaare Christian
Kaare Christian is a resident of Germantown, a small Hudson River shoreline community where he is an elected member of the Town Board. He's also the founder and president of the Roe Jan Watershed Community, which is a proud Riverkeeper partner. Kaare's career was spent at the leading edge of technology, working on early computer graphics at the New York Institute of Technology, on devices for studying the brain at The Rockefeller University, and on a commercial device for early detection of eye disease at a biotech startup. In his spare time he wrote a dozen books on technology. Kaare enjoys recreating with his wife and three adult children, and engages in many outdoor activities, of which the current top two are evening paddleboarding on the Hudson and downhill skiing in the Kootenays.
