As Director of Communications and Marketing, Lauren leads Riverkeeper’s content, digital marketing, social media, and public relations.
Before joining Riverkeeper, she was Director of Communications at Boscobel House and Gardens, where she managed a complete website redesign and brand refresh. At the cybersecurity company, SecurityScorecard, Lauren ran content marketing and social media, and worked on the company's key brand initiatives in close collaboration with subject matter experts across the organization, ranging from threat intel to government affairs.
Lauren has media trained high-profile journalists and C-suite executives at companies including American Express. At a division of Finn Partners, she was on the small team hired by JWT to popularize the concept of the Millennial generation. She has also represented Fortune 500 and national nonprofit CEOs on their book launches, and worked in internal communications at Benjamin Moore & Co. on product launches and during a crisis situation.
At the start of her career, Lauren hosted on New York Public Radio, Sirius Satellite Radio, and WQXR. Her writing has been published in outlets including Salon, Newsday, and Parents, and she has appeared on CBS Sunday Morning, the CBC, and MSNBC. Lauren’s interviewees include Maya Angelou, Hoover Institution fellow Kiron Skinner, Willem Dafoe, and Lawrence Norden of the Brennan Center for Justice.
Lauren graduated as a Founders Day Scholar from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband, two kids, and two dogs (who are also siblings).
