Dr. Linde Ostro is a development professional with more than 18 years of fundraising experience, working with philanthropic individuals, foundations, and corporations.
Prior to joining Riverkeeper, Linde was the Senior Vice President for Development at the New York Academy of Sciences and Senior Director of Philanthropy for New York at The Trust for Public Land. She has also worked in leadership positions in the development departments at the New York Botanical Garden and the Wildlife Conservation Society.
Linde began her career at the Bronx Zoo as a zookeeper. In 1994 she moved to Belize, Central America to conduct research on howler monkeys for her PhD, and co-directed the Cockscomb Jaguar Project for the Wildlife Conservation Society until 2007.
Linde graduated from Haverford College with a BA in History. She received her MS and PhD in Systematics and Ecology from Fordham University.
