Louzette joined Riverkeeper in January 2024 as Manager of Events and Corporate Partnerships. Louzette has over 10 years of experience in fundraising and event planning for non-profit organizations. She served as the Director of Fundraising for Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR) where she led the efficient execution of a large capital campaign to raise funds to build a much needed animal shelter. Louzette was also the Executive Director of Lounsbury House, a historic event venue in Ridgefield, CT. There she headed the administration, programs and strategic planning for the entire organization. Louzette spearheaded event planning, marketing and community outreach efforts. In addition, she cultivated corporate sponsorships for fundraising events and renovation projects. Most recently, Louzette was an Event Development Consultant for Very New York, an event management company out of NYC where she helped plan and manage events for organizations such as Delivering Good and Farm Up Jamaica. Louzette earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pace University. In her spare time, Louzette enjoys hiking, boating and playing tennis. Louzette is passionate about Riverkeeper’s mission to protect and restore the Hudson River and is looking forward to raising funds to support the organization.
