Martin Hampel is a private investor, dedicated nature and wildlife photographer as well as fervent advocate for climate safety and local sustainability. Before retiring, he held several positions in the financial sector as a quantitative analyst, including more than a decade at Standard & Poor's in New York, where he was a Senior Director and Global Head of Operations for the Quantitative Analytics Research group at S&P’s Ratings Services. Martin earned his doctorate in Elementary Particle Physics at the Technical University of Aachen, in Germany, and the German collider research center, DESY, in Hamburg, where he also held a post-doctoral position. He is Vice President and Treasurer for a private family foundation. Martin lives in the Hudson Valley with his family under a solar-powered roof.
