Maya Kopytman
Maya Kopytman has two decades of design experience and is internationally recognized for her pioneering work in designing interfaces for a variety of interactive media— from software to location-based applications and websites.
From 1994 until 2006, she was a principal member of IconNicholson in New York, and a Senior Vice President since 2004. In 2006, Maya joined the creative studio C&G Partners as an associate partner, heading the firm’s interactive design practice, and became partner in 2010.
In the field of Interactive Design, Maya received many of the most prestigious honors that include a “Gold Pencil” from the One Show Interactive, “People’s Voice" Webby, and best educational website Webby. She is a two-time winner of the American Alliance of Museums Media & Technology MUSE Award and the Anthem Award, dedicated to purpose & mission-driven work. She frequently serves on jury panels for industry competitions including the ADC Global Annual Awards. Her work has been featured in industry publications such as Graphis and Communications Arts.
Maya has been a visiting instructor in Pratt’s Department of Digital Arts, and is currently a member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences and a board member of the nonprofit BYkids.
Maya has an MFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Outside of the office, she enjoys playing the piano.
