Neale, a Garrison native, joined Riverkeeper in 2013 as the Boat Program Assistant after nearly a decade working for newspapers, wire services and other print publications throughout New York state. As a local editor, freelance reporter and regular contributor to Reuters news service in the Buffalo, N.Y. area, Neale has covered a range of topics for local and national audiences, including award-winning work pertaining to riverfront development and high-profile environmental cases. He received his B.A. in print journalism from Plattsburgh State University.
