My Internship With Riverkeeper
As for me, I am serving as the Volunteer and Outreach Fellow with Riverkeeper in New York’s Hudson Valley. Riverkeeper, nationally recognized for its work protecting the Hudson River, exemplifies the interdisciplinary approach taught to Bard CEP students. As a fellow I am helping expand and strengthen our grassroots capacity throughout New York City and the Hudson Valley through volunteer recruitment, trainings and partnerships. Volunteers are an integral part of Riverkeeper’s work. In 2014, volunteers have donated 10,963 hours of service, removed over 31 tons of trash from the river, gathered thousands of petition signatures, and signed up hundreds of new members.
I highly encourage you to apply to become a Bard CEP Riverkeeper Scholar or share information about this opportunity with friends, colleagues and family. Within your application please select “Riverkeeper Scholar” and include your interest and/or experience with: advocacy, water policy, water ecology, or the Hudson River estuary.
