Singer/songwriter Jack Johnson teamed up with the Don’t Frack with NY Water! initiative during his July 14 concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City to help promote awareness of the campaign to stop fracking (hydraulic fracturing).
Johnson is a big supporter of environmental causes through his All At Once charitable organization, which will match funds raised at his concerts by selected partner organizations, dollar for dollar up to $2,500. He acknowledged the work of Riverkeeper and cheered their presence at the concert, where a steady stream of fans crowded the Riverkeeper table for information about how to get involved. Over 100 people signed the online petition against fracking. It was a great night for music and Don’t Frack with NY Water! awareness.
