NY Times video: 'A Danger on the Rails' by Jon Bowermaster

"I live in the Hudson Valley and see these trains daily," filmmaker Jon Bowermaster writes in today's New York Times. See his video "A Danger on the Rails," on the dangers that crude oil trains pose to the Hudson River.
"Each of these train cars is like a rolling bomb," Riverkeeper President Paul Gallay says.
Riverkeeper is demanding that New York State and the federal government take real, immediate action to protect our communities and our environment – before the next disaster occurs.
For example: The U.S. DOT should issue an emergency order limiting the length and weight of crude oil trains and help reduce the risk of damage from catastrophic spills and fires.
Instead, the DOT has issued a toothless order on speed limits that are more permissive that what's becoming the industry's own standard.
