Riverkeeper earns sixth-straight top rating from Charity Navigator

All of us at Riverkeeper are proud to share that Charity Navigator has rated us a 4-star charity, its highest ranking, for the sixth time in a row.
That’s quite a feat, putting Riverkeeper in some rarified company. Of the 1.5 million charities evaluated by Charity Navigator, only 7 percent have earned their top ranking for 6 consecutive years.
Since 2013, we’ve earned Charity Navigator's top rating among nonprofits because of our commitment to fiscal responsibility, transparency and accountability.
We are proud of this recognition that we use your donations effectively and operate in an open and accountable fashion. We hope that this rating, coupled with Riverkeeper’s continued powerful advocacy for clean water and our tangible impacts in your communities, reinforces for our members and supporters that Riverkeeper is an effective investment.
Riverkeeper acknowledges the contributions of our private, corporate, and public supporters and members, who number in the thousands. Without their generous support, we could not continue to carry out our important work on behalf of the Hudson River, New York City’s drinking water supply and the communities that rely on the health and protection of these waters.
With continued support, we’ll continue to make great strides in protecting our regional waterways with the same efficiency and transparency which has earned us a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator over the past six years.
