Detailed comments on the Fjord Trail’s environmental impact
March 13, 2025
Riverkeeper served on the steering committee for the Fjord Trail, providing feedback on drafts of designs for sections of the park. Some of our feedback has been incorporated into the current plan and some has not. We support the goals of the Fjord Trail to facilitate human interaction with nature and with the Hudson River. However, we have concerns about the project’s impacts on the Hudson, its wildlife, wetlands, and habitats, and look forward to working with the Fjord Trail team to address and mitigate these concerns.
