When I tell people I've been running on the Hudson for 17 years, they sometimes say, Don't you get tired of seeing the same thing? You've sailed around the world, don't you get tired of being in the same place?
This is what I saw one night this summer on the Hudson at Norrie Point, near Hyde Park – all within 45 minutes.
So my answer is: Nope. It's never the same. On the Hudson, every day is different, every hour is different. The valley and its weather create landscapes that are constantly changing. It's never the same place. All you have to do is open your eyes.
