Tuesday’s events have made one thing clear: our environment faces an unremitting assault from fossil fuel interests, polluters, and industrial actors, backed by the full force of the federal government over the next four years. Our next president has promised to cut 70 percent of all federal regulations, especially those that safeguard the environment.
In the face of this onslaught, Riverkeeper will stand strong to protect our drinking water, the river, and the watershed that gives life to the Hudson Valley. There is strength in numbers; now more than ever, we need your help.
In return, I will make you this promise: Together, we will never stop fighting for clean water; we will redouble our efforts on the river, in the courts, and with you, our members, volunteers and advocates.
