Sampling the Mohawk, Rondout and Roe Jan: 100 locations, 300 miles of water, 1 single day
August 20, 2016
Riverkeeper Team
We departed from Waterford this morning to collect water quality samples along the Mohawk with students from SUNY Cobleskill.
Today is our biggest single day of sampling to date. With our community partners, we will sample about 100 sites on 300 miles of water: the Mohawk River, Rondout Creek, Wallkill River and Roe Jan Kill. Four labs, several organizations and dozens of individuals make this possible. Partnerships are key to community science at this scale.
